Job summary

Mercy Health's Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Progressive Care RN to deliver compassionate care in the Step Down unit. You will collaborate with care teams, assess patient needs, develop care plans, and ensure safe, therapeutic environments.

Requirements include current RN license in Ohio, BSN preferred, at least 1 year of RN experience in acute care, and BLS/ACLS certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1 year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (required).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement.
• Administer medications safely per policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
