Job summary
UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Per diem CNA Hospice Aide in Sioux Falls, SD, to provide compassionate, hands-on care for patients at home as part of a hospice team. You will support daily living activities, promote comfort and dignity, and assist families while following the care plan.
Primary responsibilities include personal care, safety, meal assistance, homemaking, and documentation. Required CNA certification, CPR, and a valid license with reliable transport; compensation ranges hourly
Qualifications
- Current state CNA certification/registration as per state requirements.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and liability insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provides personal care services to patients.
- Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics during care.
- Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
- Performs homemaking and environmental tasks as assigned.
- Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
- Follows written care instructions from a registered nurse.
- Assists with prescribed exercises as directed by nurse or therapist.
- Performs simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
- Other duties as assigned.
