Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care for patients and support for families during end-of-life care. Territory includes Malden, Medford, Somerville, Cambridge, Chelsea, Revere, and Everett, with orientation at the Charlestown care center.

The role focuses on daily living activities, comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being as part of the hospice care team. Requires CNA certification, CPR, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification/registration as per state requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
• Preferred: CNA experience within the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to ambulation, transfers, ROM, positioning, and homemaking tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient's status; reports to primary nurse if unable to perform task.
• Follows written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse per care plan.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
