Job summary
Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is seeking Hospice Nursing Aides to assist with personal care tasks for hospice patients, including bathing, dressings, and hygiene, under the supervision of RNs. You will support families and coordinate progress with the care team.
Requirements include one year of direct client care in a facility or home/hospice, Illinois CNA certificate, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, CPR certification, and basic technology skills.
Qualifications
- Must have 1 year of direct client care in an institutional setting or within the last five years in home health or hospice.
- Must be registered and listed in good standing on the nurse aide registry in the state of employment.
- Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care tasks for hospice patients, including bedding, bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
- Support families by instructing and guiding care routines and coordinating with supervising RNs.
- Consult regularly with the hospice team to keep patients' progression and families' needs informed.
