Job summary

Bristol Hospice is hiring experienced Certified Home Health Aides to support patients in home settings under RN supervision. The role focuses on compassionate, patient-centered care, safety, and teamwork within an interdisciplinary group.

Ideal candidates are CNAs with HHA certification where California state requirements apply, with strong communication skills, empathy, and reliability. CPR certification and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• CNA in good standing; valid HHA certification in CA per regulations.
• Ability to understand and follow care plans and instructions.
• Strong communication with patients, families, and team members.
• Willingness to undergo background check and maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services (bathing, grooming, feeding) as assigned.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to Case Manager.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and daily activities.
• Maintain safety and use equipment properly (O2, rails, etc.).
• Support family with education and emotional support.
• Document care activities and observations as required.
