Job summary

Amedisys is hiring a hospice aide (PRN days) to support patients at home in Altoona, PA. You will provide compassionate personal care, assist with daily activities, and help patients heal in the comfort of their own homes.

The role requires a current CNA license, CPR certification, a HS diploma, and a valid driver's license. Compensation ranges from $19 to $21 per hour with full benefits and flexible scheduling. This position offers paid time off, health plans, and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification/ registration.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics during care.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental tasks as assigned.
• Observes and documents changes in patient status and reports to nurse.
• Follows care instructions prepared by a registered nurse.
• Assists with prescribed exercises and basic tests when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
