Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients and support for families during end-of-life care. You will assist with daily living activities, promote comfort and dignity, and follow the care plan in collaboration with the hospice care team.

Responsibilities include personal care, safety-focused assistance with mobility, meal assistance, and documenting changes.

Qualifications

Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant (CNA) as per state certification/registration requirements
Current CPR certification
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance

Responsibilities

Provides personal care services to patients
Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to assist with activities of daily living and housekeeping tasks
Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding
Performs homemaking and other environmental services
Observes, reports, and documents any changes in patient's status and reports to the nurse
Follows written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse
Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist
Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin
Other duties as assigned
