Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a Chaplain / Spiritual Counselor to support hospice families, provide grief counseling, and coordinate with clergy to meet patients' spiritual needs. You will document services in the EMR and participate in Interdisciplinary Group meetings to enhance care.

The role requires a Master’s in counseling, theology, or divinity, plus 3+ years in spiritual care ministry; hospice experience and CP education are preferred. Competitive benefits and career growth await.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in theology, religion, human services, counseling, psychology, or sociology.
• Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, theology or divinity.
• Minimum of three years active work in spiritual care ministry/program.
• One year of hospice spiritual care and one year of clinical pastoral education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support hospice families by providing grief counseling and referrals.
• Facilitate visits by local clergy and pastoral counselors for patient spiritual needs.
• Document services and progress in the electronic medical record.
• Attend Interdisciplinary Group meetings to coordinate counseling care.
