Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver personal care to patients under RN supervision. The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered hospice care, with responsibilities including bathing, feeding support, and monitoring patient status.

Requires a High School Diploma and CNAs registered with the Maryland Board. Prior hospice experience and the ability to work independently are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program accepted in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care needs by attending to patient/family requests promptly.
• Provides baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen.
• Assists in feeding the patient and dressing/undressing as assigned.
• Observes and reports patient condition and significant changes to the supervising nurse.
• Assists in ambulation and exercises as instructed by the Hospice Nurse or therapist.
• Keeps patient room orderly and assists with light laundry as needed.
