Angels Care Hospice is seeking a compassionate hospice aide to join our team. You will work under a Registered Nurse to provide personal care and comfort, observe and document patient conditions, and support families in a home setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, meals, and mobility; reporting changes promptly and maintaining confidentiality. Must meet state training requirements and be at least 18 years old, with empathy for the terminally ill.

Competenze

• Meets the training requirements of the State.
• Completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training (16 hours of classroom before 16 hours of practical).
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
• Understands hospice philosophy and is comfortable caring for the terminally ill.
• Satisfactory references from previous employers.
• Is self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Secure with issues of death/dying.
• Provides a calm manner when in a patient’s home.
• Has empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired.

• Perform personal care tasks and attend to patient requests promptly.

• Provide baths, oral hygiene, grooming, changing bed linens.
• Assist with dressing, undressing, and mobility as instructed.

• Observe and report patient’s condition changes to the Case Manager.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion as directed.
• Support caregivers and maintain a safe, clean home environment.
