Job summary

Angels Care Hospice in Nebraska seeks a compassionate hospice aide to support patient comfort under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will perform personal care, observe changes, and document care provided to help maintain quality of life.

Responsibilities include assisting with baths, feeding, transfers, and daily activities, communicating with patients and families, and supporting the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, dignified care in the home environment.

Qualifications

• Empathy and compassionate care toward terminally ill patients.
• Ability to read and follow care instructions and document care.
• Demonstrates self-direction with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, grooming and linen changes.
• Communicate with patient and family with confidentiality and respect.
• Observe patient condition and report changes to Case Manager.
• Assist in ambulation, transfers, and range of motion as directed.
• Assist with meals including shopping and feeding as assigned.
• Maintain patient skin care to prevent breakdown and promote comfort.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
• Support hospice philosophy and end-of-life care under RN supervision.
