Job summary

Beaumont Hospice is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide to support patient care in a Monday–Friday schedule. You will perform personal care tasks, monitor vital signs, and coordinate with supervising nurses to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with baths, feeding, mobility, and ensuring safety while adhering to state guidelines. A compassionate attitude and attention to detail are essential in delivering quality end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• Meets the State training requirements for Hospice Aide and competency evaluation.
• One year of hospice care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen.
• Take and record vital signs (oral, rectal, axillary temperatures; pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
• Assist in dressing, undressing and meal prep/feeding.
• Assist in ambulation and routine exercise as directed by nurse or therapist.
• Communicate patient condition changes to supervising nurse and caregivers.
• Adhere to safety practices and hospice care procedures.
