Job summary

Beaumont Hospice in Detroit is hiring an STNA/CNA to provide essential in-home hospice care. You will perform personal care tasks, monitor patient conditions, and support comfort for terminally ill patients under supervision. The role emphasizes compassionate communication with patients’ families and adherence to hospice care standards.

Requirements include state competency training completion and a valid driver’s license. Prior hospice experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Meets the training requirements of the State and has completed a state-established training program or competency evaluation program.
• One year of experience is preferred, preferably in Hospice care.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance in the applicant’s name.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and attend to patient requests to promote comfort.
• Communicate patient condition and changes to the supervising nurse.
• Follow Hospice Aide scope of practice and agency procedures.
