Job summary

Alternate Solutions Health Network is seeking a Hospice Aide to join Beaumont Hospice in Detroit, MI. The role focuses on compassionate patient care, including personal hygiene, comfort, and daily living assistance, under the supervision of a nurse.

You will communicate patient status to the supervising nurse, assist with bathing, grooming, meal support, and safety monitoring while adhering to state guidelines and agency procedures.

Qualifications

• Meets state training requirements or licensure as per state regulations.
• One year of hospice care experience preferred.
• Capable of performing physical demands required by the role.
• Strong communication with patients, family, and care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, and repositioning.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the supervising nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and meal support as assigned.
• Maintain safety and observation to prevent skin breakdown and injury.
• Follow organization policies and participate in mandatory training.
