Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse in the patient’s home or residence. The role emphasizes safe transfers, infection control, and compassionate support to patients and families.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma (preferred), completed nurse aide competency evaluation or state licensure, and a current driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Completion of nurse aide training/competency evaluation program required or state licensure listed.
• Must read, write, and verbally report clinical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist patient with safe transfers and ambulation per policy.
• Report changes and document care rendered to ensure continuity.
• Maintain infection control practices and a clean, safe environment.
• Promote respectful communication with patient, family, and staff.
• Support nutrition and fluid intake per care plan.
• Demonstrate time management and teamwork to support hospice operations.
