Job summary

Ohio Living Hospice is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our Dayton team. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide end-of-life care, maintain patient comfort, and support families with compassionate service.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent and an active Ohio CNA certification. Two years of CNA/home health experience is preferred, with availability for weekends/evenings and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing on the Ohio Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry required.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care to patients as directed by the hospice nurse (bathing, grooming, hygiene).
• Observes patient condition and reports changes to RN Case Manager.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and assists with daily living activities.
• Assists with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Records care provided in the patient’s EMR per policy.
• Rotates weekends, evenings, and on-call shifts as scheduled.
