Job summary

The Homecare Company of Tennessee is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support clients in their homes under RN supervision. You will help with ADLs/IADLs, mobility, meals, and companionship, while maintaining a safe, respectful environment and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include light housekeeping, errands as needed, and reporting changes to the supervising nurse. A compassionate attitude, reliability, and HIPAA compliance are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Must have valid Driver’s License and Car Insurance.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Demonstrates empathy and patience in caring for clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Provide bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting support.
• Support mobility including transfers and ambulation.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation per care plan.
• Provide companionship and monitor changes, reporting to RN.
• Document care provided in daily notes.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality.
