Job summary

Red Bud Regional Home Health, part of LHC Group and Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver treatment, provide exercise instruction and patient education to improve well-being under the established plan of care in home settings.

Under supervision, you will collaborate with the healthcare team, follow state regulations, and support mobility, ADLs, and safe transfers for diverse patients. The role emphasizes compassionate care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care under the supervision of the PT
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer and safety
• Observes and reports patient progress to supervising PT and care team, coordinating care as appropriate
• Instructs patient and caregivers in therapy within the PTA scope
• Function in diverse home settings respecting patient diversity and dignity
