Job summary

JEVS Care at Home is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support clients in their own homes. You will help with daily living activities, following the care plan, and promoting independence. Training on ADLs, PPE, CPR, First Aid, and Dementia care is provided to all caregivers.

Orientation includes competency testing with annual recertification; you will work closely with the Client Care Manager to ensure confidentiality and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• A High School diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Nurse Aide Certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate with Client Care Manager.
• Completion of Caregiver Orientation.
• Must satisfactorily complete JEVS Care at Home written exam and orientation program 80% passing score on post-orientation exam.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living per their care plan to maintain independence.
• Provide training and tools to perform ADLs, with access to PPE.
• CPR, First Aid, and Dementia Training are provided as Professional Development.
• Demonstrate understanding of and encourage independent living.
• Complete competency exam after orientation and annual re-certification as required.
