Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to support patients at home under an established care plan in Florida. This part-time role offers flexible hours and the chance to make a meaningful difference in daily living activities.

You will assist with personal care, vital signs when ordered, and safe transfers, while documenting changes and communicating with the supervising nurse. CPR certification and compliance with state requirements are expected.

Qualifications

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation.
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations.
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with baths, oral hygiene, dressing and undressing, Toileting activities and feeding per plan of care.
• Take and record vital signs when ordered (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
• Assist with safe transfer and ambulation techniques.
• Provide range of motion and basic procedures as ordered.
• Handle patient laundry and ensure safety with equipment.
• Observe and document patient condition and report changes to the nurse supervisor.
• Communicate clearly with client, family/caregiver and office.
• Follow patients’ plan of care and complete all assigned tasks.
