Nurse Next Door in California is seeking compassionate caregivers to deliver in-home care to seniors, with flexible 10 to 40 hours per week and shifts morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight. Caregivers perform nonmedical support, follow care plans, assist with ADLs, meal prep, transportation, and basic companionship, while meeting state requirements and maintaining client safety.

No experience required; paid training and registration help provided; must be 18+, pass background check, and

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Current registration with the CA Home Care Aide Registry; we provide paid training and help with registration.
• Criminal background check completed and disclosure of any history.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• TB testing verified and no active tuberculosis.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance or reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Help clients with ADLs within the scope of practice.
• Assist with personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care, bathing and dressing.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation and positioning.
• Assist with prescribed exercises taught by health personnel.
• Meal planning and preparation, including therapeutic diets.
• Assist clients to bathroom or with commodes, bedpans or urinals and incontinence care.
• Perform household services including housekeeping, laundry, transportation, shopping for personal care items or groceries, and companionship.
• Assist with medications reminders which are ordinarily self-administered.
• Report changes in the client’s condition to the administrator or care designer.
• Complete records regarding services performed.
• Drive to appointments or to run errands.
• Remain alert during the shift and respond to any client needs or call for guidance.
• Participate in all required entry-level and annual training requirements.
• Maintain an active home care aide registration with the CA Dept. of Social Services Home Care Services Bureau.
• Other duties as assigned by the administrator or designee.
