Job summary

Action Health Staffing is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home care in the Williamston area. Schedule includes Monday-Wednesday-Friday 9am-12:30am and Tuesday-Thursday 11am-3pm, focusing on direct patient care in the patient’s residence.

The role emphasizes assistance with daily living activities, personal hygiene, meal preparation, companionship, and adherence to the care plan while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Maintain DFS certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess effective communication skills to read, write and follow directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks necessary to treat clients who may include lifting, bending and standing.
• Must have sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Provide personal hygiene care.
• Assist with methods of transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises as instructed by the supervising RN/therapists.
• Prepare meals with consideration of client’s dietary preferences.
• Provide companionship and activities that vary by client.
• Light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Maintain complete and accurate records required by agency.
• Record and report changes in client’s condition.
