Job summary

Action Health Staffing & Home Care Services is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home care to patients in the Williamston area. The CNA will work a schedule of Monday-Wednesday-Friday from 9am to 12:30am, with additional hours on Tuesday and Thursday as needed.

The role involves direct patient care in the patient’s residence, assistance with hygiene, transfers, and daily living activities.

Qualifications

• Must maintain certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess effective communication skills to read, write and follow directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending and standing.
• Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned in the patient’s residence.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises.
• Prepare meals considering client’s dietary needs.
• Provide companionship and individualized activities.
• Light housekeeping as needed.
• Maintain complete and accurate records.
• Report changes in client condition to supervising staff.
• Adhere to Plan of Care and EVV documentation when required.
