Job summary

Addus Homecare in New Mexico seeks Home Care Aides (HCAs) to support seniors and disabled clients at home across Bernalillo, Edgewood, Los Ranchos, Moriarty, Rio Rancho, Tijeras, Carnuel, and surrounding areas. The role requires on-call availability, 40 hours weekly with 20 hours guaranteed, including weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include following care plans, assisting with personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation (car with valid license and proof of insurance).
• Nurturing and compassionate; desire to care for others.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Calls office every morning for assignments.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal prep, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor, grocery store, and errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client’s condition.
