Job summary

Addus Homecare is urgently hiring Home Care Aides (HCAs) to support seniors and people with disabilities in their homes across New Mexico. The role is on-call with a 40-hour workweek, including at least one weekend day, and requires compassionate, reliable individuals who can follow care plans and work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, transportation to appointments, medication assistance, and reporting client condition changes.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and proof of insurance if driving.
• On-call for 24-hour shifts.
• 40 hours per week, with at least one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Call office every morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meals, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor visits, grocery store, and other errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
