Job summary

Addus Homecare in New Mexico is urgently hiring Flex Home Care Aides (HCAs) to support clients living independently at home. You will assist with daily tasks, personal care and medications, in a compassionate, home-based setting.

The Home Care Aide - Core is on call for 5 days per week with 40 hours (20 hours guaranteed). Schedule determined by supervision, including weekend days, with strong emphasis on safety and client well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation and driver''s license if using a car.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Call office each morning for assignments and schedules.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Assist with routine house cleaning, meal preparation and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications as directed.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
