Job summary

Addus Homecare in New Mexico is urgently hiring Flex Home Care Aides to support seniors and adults with disabilities living at home. The Home Care Aide - Core works on-call five days a week, including at least one weekend day, with 40 hours per week and 20 hours guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation; if by car, valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Nurturing and compassionate nature with the desire to care for others.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated and well-organized.

Responsibilities

• Call in to the office every morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meals, and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications as directed.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
