Job summary

Addus Homecare is urgently hiring Home Care Aides - Core to support seniors and people with disabilities living in their own homes across multiple NM areas. The role is on-call for 5 days per week with 40 hours per week (20 guaranteed) and a schedule set by the supervisor.

Essential duties include following care plans, assisting with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and medication support.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation; if by car, a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• On-call for 24 hour shifts.
• 5 days per week with at least one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Answer office calls every morning for assignments.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meals, and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications as directed.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
