Job summary

Special Care Agency, Inc. in Snohomish County seeks a compassionate Home Care Aide to provide non-medical care for clients with developmental disabilities or seniors. You will implement Plans of Care, assist with daily living activities, transport, and provide companionship.

Candidates must be 18+, fluent in English, able to work independently, and capable of physical tasks. A WA background check and valid driver license are required; ongoing training is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal).
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be physically and mentally capable of caring for an individual who is ill, infirm, disabled or vulnerable.
• Understanding of professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Care for a child/adult with special needs or seniors requiring non-medical support.
• Implement assigned clients’ Plan of Care.
• Assist with daily living activities (feeding, dressing, hygiene, toileting, transferring, positioning).
• Provide transportation and assist with shopping, meal planning, and housekeeping as needed.
• Provide protective supervision and adhere to client plan boundaries for Community First Choice or respite care when applicable.
