Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal).
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be physically and mentally capable of caring for an individual who is ill, infirm, disabled or vulnerable.
• Understanding of professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical care to clients with disabilities or seniors.
• Implement assigned client Plan of Care.
• Assist with daily living activities (feeding, dressing, personal hygiene, toileting, transfers, positioning).
• Assist family with housekeeping, shopping, meal planning and transportation.
• Provide protective supervision and support in client safety and well-being.
• Follow Client Plan of Care within living situation; adhere to community or respite care guidelines.
