Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clear driving record.
• Ability to lift 100lbs safely.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Composure and compassion.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and receive/apply constructive feedback with a positive attitude.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external work processes.

Responsibilities

• Compassion & Empathy: Direct Families to resources and answer questions upon arrival and departure for transfer of the decedent.
• Safe Transport: Navigate local roads and highways with varying traffic, time of day, and weather conditions; be familiar with GPS or directions apps.
• Reliability & Availability: Be willing to work irregular hours as needed (on-call), including nights and weekends; fill in for other staff shifts driving hearse as needed.
• Meticulous Attention: Ensure paperwork is completed correctly and timely per relevant laws and regulations.
• Critical Thinking: Receive instructions for multiple tasks, determine the ideal order, and complete them promptly.
• Professional Demeanor: Maintain neat appearance and perform other duties as needed (e.g., washing vehicles).
