Job summary

foundationpartners is seeking a Transfer Care Specialist to serve as families' first contact, moving decedents from facilities to the funeral home. The role requires lifting up to 100 lbs, a valid driver’s license, and a composed, compassionate presence.

You will coordinate transfers, follow detailed instructions, complete paperwork accurately, and may fill in for staff during on-call shifts. A professional appearance is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have valid state-issued driver license with clean driving record.
• Able to lift 100 lbs safely.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Maintain composure and compassion.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and accept feedback.
• Ability to establish and maintain efficient internal/external work processes.

Responsibilities

• Compassion & Empathy: Answer questions and direct Families to resources on arrival and departure for transfer of the decedent.
• Safe Transport: Navigate local roads/highways; be familiar with GPS or direction apps.
• Reliability & Availability: Work irregular hours as needed (on-call), including nights/weekends; drive hearse as needed.
• Meticulous Attention: Ensure paperwork is completed correctly and timely per laws/regulations.
• Critical Thinking: Follow instructions for multiple tasks, determine ideal order, complete promptly.
• Professional Demeanor: Maintain neat appearance; perform other duties (e.g., washing vehicles).
