Job summary

Foundation Partners Group is seeking a Transfer Care Specialist to be the first point of contact for families during decedent transfer from hospitals, nursing homes, residences, or coroner's offices to the funeral home.

You will provide compassionate support, transport decedents safely, and handle paperwork with accuracy while on-call for irregular hours, including nights and weekends. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 100lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clear driving record.
• Ability to lift 100lbs safely.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Composure and compassion in challenging situations.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply feedback with a positive attitude.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external work processes.

Responsibilities

• Respect families and direct them to appropriate resources upon arrival and departure for transfer of the decedent.
• Safely transport decedents, navigate local roads, and use GPS/directions apps.
• Be willing to work irregular hours including nights and weekends; support hearse driving as needed.
• Ensure paperwork is completed correctly and timely per relevant laws and regulations.
• Receive and prioritize multiple tasks, determining the optimal order and completing them promptly.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and assist with related duties (e.g., washing vehicles).
