Job summary

Foundation Partners Group seeks a Transfer Care Specialist to serve as families' first contact during transfer of the decedent from care facilities or residences to the funeral home.

You will transport decedents, maintain composure in challenging situations, and support families with compassion, while following all laws and paperwork requirements. This role includes on-call shifts, occasional night and weekend work, and lifting up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs safely.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must be compassionate and composed.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to coordinate and maintain internal/external work processes.

Responsibilities

• Compassion & Empathy: Direct Families to resources upon arrival and departure for transfer of the decedent.
• Safe Transport: Navigate local roads and highways with varying traffic, time of day/night, and weather conditions; familiar with GPS or direction apps.
• Reliability & Availability: On-call shifts; may work nights and weekends and fill in for funeral attendants; drive hearse as needed.
• Meticulous Attention: Ensure paperwork is completed correctly and timely per relevant laws and regulations.
• Critical Thinking: Receive instructions for multiple tasks, determine the ideal order, and complete them promptly.
• Professional Demeanor: Maintain neat appearance; perform other duties as needed (e.g., washing vehicles).
