Job summary

Service Corporation International in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Funeral Support Specialist to assist with funeral home and cremation duties, including first-call removals, casketing, and visitation setup. Must lift up to 75 pounds and work an on-call schedule including weekends.

You will greet families, handle phones, transport deceased, drive the hearse, and support funeral directors with dressing and casketing as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
Customer service experience is a plus; funeral service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Safely drives company owned vehicles for first call removals, transporting the deceased per policies.
Handles chain-of-custody, paperwork and deceased identification.
Interacts professionally with families; provides guidance and support.
Maintains vehicle cleanliness and supplies; directs calls to team members.
Greets visitors, assists with information and assistance at the location.
Assists with dressing and casketing and moves in/out of service areas as needed.
Drives the hearse and participates in funeral corteges.
Performs tasks during services to ensure smooth operations.
Transports deceased to crematory or other designated locations.
Runs errands related to floral delivery, supplies, and documents.
