Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Attendant to support funeral services, prepare rooms and materials, and assist families with courtesy and compassion. Duties include dressing the deceased, greeting visitors, and potentially serving as pallbearer.

Regional travel to cemeteries is possible; weekend and holiday hours are required. Role involves transporting documents and assisting with vehicle maintenance and safety procedures, with opportunities to support the family

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dress the deceased for visitation or funeral services.
• Prepare rooms and arrange chairs, tables, flowers, programs, and guest books.
• Greet visitors, provide information, and escort families to appropriate areas.
• May serve as pallbearer and assist with transporting caskets and vehicles.
• Drive families to cemetery sites and transport documents/files as needed.
• Perform mailroom tasks: sorting, copying, scanning, faxing, and packaging mementos.
