Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations. You will assist with services, greet families, handle phones and office tasks, and help in transporting items and families.

Strong customer service, basic MS Office skills, and a compassionate, team-focused approach are essential. Valid driver’s license required for vehicle duties; training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Background in customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns and keepsakes.
• Assists with service documents and care of remains as directed by management.
• Performs office duties including phones, fax, and general clerical tasks.
• Operates funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Greet families, assist with visitations, and support transportation as needed.
• Ensures refreshments are available where allowed by law.
