Job summary

Service Corporation International seeks a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations. You will assist with services, greet families, manage phones, and help with visitations, ensuring compassionate, professional service in line with SCI values.

The role involves assisting on services, driving or escorting as needed, and maintaining orderly office operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and databases preferred; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for services by arranging floral items, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Prepare service documents for services and cremations.
• Assist with preparation of remains and operation of crematory as permitted by law.
• Answer phones and operate office equipment.
• Greet client families and assist during visitations and services.
