S.E. Combined Services of Florida is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and front-desk support for funeral operations in Saint Johns. You will greet families, assist with service setup, and coordinate arrangements under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred; ability and willingness to learn required.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and databases preferred; good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by assisting with floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos, and keepsakes; ensures proper care and storage.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance as directed by management.
• Assists with preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties: answering phones, operating equipment, and handling transactions.
• Run errands for floral delivery and supplies.
• Serves as an usher and may assist with transportation of families.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and transportation of families.
• Ensures refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Assists with visitations, memorials, and funeral services, including set up and item delivery.
