Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations. Duties include assisting at services, greeting families, answering questions, and coordinating on-site logistics with the funeral home team.

Requirements include a high school diploma and customer service experience; proficiency with MS Office and databases is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office; ability and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for services by setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, and keepsakes.
• Handle service-related documents for funerals and cremations.
• Assist with the preparation of remains, including dressing and casketing as permitted by law.
• Perform office duties (phones, fax, computer, multi-line phone system, debit card machine, etc.).
• Run errands for supplies and deliveries; assist as usher or transport for families.
• Drive funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
