Job summary

Service Corporation International in Franklin, OH is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and front-line support for funeral operations, greet families, answer questions, and assist on services.

You will handle setup of floral arrangements, drive vehicles as needed, perform office duties, and help with visitations and ceremonies, requiring compassion, reliability, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services: delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance.
• Assists with preparation of remains and operation of crematory as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties: answering phones, using fax machine, computer, multiline phone system, debit card machine, typewriter, postage meter and scale and stereo/video system.
• Run errands for floral delivery and supplies.
• Usher and may park cars or perform transportation requirements.
• Drives Funeral Home vehicles for services and picking up families.
• Greets and receives client families entering the office for information and assistance.
