Responsibilities

• Prepares for services including setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, and maintenance.
• Assists with respectful preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting, per regulations.
• Answers phones, operates office equipment and multi-line phone system.
• Runs errands for supplies and deliveries.
• Serves as an usher and may park cars or handle transportation.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family transfers.
• Ensures refreshments where allowed by law.
• Greets client families and assists office visitors.
• Accommodates family needs during services or visitations.
• May wash and clean funeral home vehicles when needed.
