Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases preferred; ability and willingness to learn required.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services: floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns and keepsakes; ensures proper care and storage.
• Prepares documents related to services and maintenance as directed by management.
• Assists with respectful preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties: answering phones, operating office equipment and computers.
• Run errands for floral deliveries and supplies.
• Acts as usher and assists with transportation needs.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pick-ups.
• Ensures refreshments are available where permitted by law.
• Greets client families and provides information and assistance.
• Assists with visitations, memorials and funeral services; set up and preparation.
