Job summary

Sci Corp is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant in Kissimmee, FL to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations. You will assist with services, greet families, answer questions, and help with transportation and setup for visitations and ceremonies.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and prior customer service experience; proficiency with MS Office and a valid driver's license are preferred. This is an on-site role with monthly staff meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and databases; willingness to learn.
• Valid state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns and keepsakes; stores items properly.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance as directed by management.
• Assists with preparation of remains and operation of crematory per law and policy.
• Performs office duties: phones, fax, computer, multi-line system, debit machine, etc.
• Runs errands for floral deliveries and supplies.
• Acts as usher; may park cars or handle transportation needs.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments are available where permitted by law.
• Assists with visitations, memorials and funerals, including setup and dressing of remains.
• Greets clients entering the office and provides information.
