Job summary

Service Corporation International in Oceanside, CA is seeking a part-time Funeral Attendant to support services before, during, and after ceremonies. You will set up rooms, greet families, drive when needed, and help prepare the deceased and memorial materials.

This role requires a HS Diploma, valid driver's license, willingness to work evenings and weekends, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. No prior experience required; compassion and discretion are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• No prior work experience required; funeral industry experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 200 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare casket and deceased for visitation or funeral services.
• Greet visitors, provide programs, answer questions, and provide funeral services information.
• May serve as pallbearer or drive families to cemetery site.
• Courteously answer phones, screen callers, and assist with reception duties.
• Transport, deliver documents, flowers, and keepsakes as needed.
