Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and databases; ability and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Ensures proper care and storage of items related to services.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations and maintenance as directed.
• Assists with preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting, within legal and company guidelines.
• Performs office duties: phones, fax, computer, multi-line phone system, etc.
• Runs errands for floral delivery and supplies.
• Acts as usher and may park cars or handle transportation for services.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family transport.
• Ensures refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Assists with visitations, memorial and funeral services as needed.
• Greets clients and provides information and assistance.
