The role requires state-issued license, mortuary school completion, and on-call availability. Strong communication, organization, and community engagement are essential to succeed in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• State-issued funeral director license required.
• Mortuary school completion required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or funeral industry preferred.
• Ability to work on-call/first call in rotation.

Responsibilities

• Presents clients with all service and merchandise options.
• Maintains accurate and timely client files and effective communication.
• Participates in community events to improve market share.
• Oversees team members during services and ensures quality representation.
• Transfers decedents and prepares deceased per family instructions as needed.
• Completes paperwork and permits; ensures compliance with laws and regulations.
• Conducts funeral services and follows up post-service.
