The role requires current state licensure for funeral directing and embalming, strong communication, empathy, and the ability to engage with diverse beliefs and cultures while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state licensure for funeral directing & embalming.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Present all service and merchandise options to every client family.
• Maintain accurate and timely client files and effective communication.
• Engage in community events to improve market share and relationships.
• Oversee team members during services and ensure professional representation.
• On-call/first call duties and coordination with hospitals, hospices, and homes.
• Assist with transferring decedents, embalming, dressing, cosmetizing, and preparation as licensed.
• Meet with families to educate and arrange personalized funeral services.
• Complete paperwork including permits and certificates; ensure compliance with laws.
• Conduct funeral services and lead post-service follow-ups.
