Job summary

White Oak Medical Center is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician for the 6 North Department. The role involves assisting RNs, measuring vitals, and supporting patient needs in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Qualifications include a Maryland CNA license, CNA program completion, and BLS certification. 36 hours weekly with a 7pm–7am schedule, full-time, with rotating weekends. The hospital emphasizes safety, professional development, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a CNA program and CNA exam.
• Maryland CNA license is required.
• Active BLS certification is required.
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Physical ability to perform job tasks including lifting and turning.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Proficient computer skills for documentation and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow the care plan established by the RN and report changes.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Participate in department and organizational training and meetings.
• Assist in personal, professional development and teamwork initiatives.
• Present a professional image representing the organization.
