Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD, seeks a Patient Care Technician to perform vital signs and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will follow the care plan, receive report from the RN, and maintain a culture of safety.

Requires a High School Diploma, Maryland CNA license, CNA program completion, and active BLS. Strong English skills, lifting ability, and preference for acute care experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Successful completion of a CNA or first year nursing school program and CNA exam.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow care plan as established by RN and receive report from RN.
• Identify and report malfunctioning equipment and ensure safety and cleanliness of work areas.
• Participate in education programs, meetings, and professional initiatives.
